Dr. Tam Redd grew up in DFW, where she graduated salutatorian of her class. She earned her BA in Psychology from Rice University and her MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Redd pursued her General Psychiatry residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine before returning to DFW to complete her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Children's Health.
Over the past 14 years, Dr. Redd has had the privilege of providing mental health care to patients of all ages and backgrounds, from veterans through the VA Health Care System to children at Children's Health. She has worked in various settings, including the emergency department, multiple hospital systems, community mental health centers like Metrocare, and most recently, in private practice and telepsychiatry.
In her free time, Dr. Redd enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She loves traveling, doing arts and crafts, solving puzzles, and playing board games.
